Presently, about 400 canteens are functioning in the state. The AIADMK men led by the 30th ward member T T Subramani and nine others gathered at Puthagaram and raised slogans against the state government for taking revenge by tarnishing the image and fame of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa. The Madras high court had ordered its demolition, as the building was constructed on the water body.
CHENNAI: The late-night demolition of an Amma Unavagam, built illegally on a water body at Puzhal, was stalled by a group of protesters belonging to the AIADMK on Friday.
